The Rev. Dr. William Joseph Augman Jr., 77, passed away on Aug. 11, 2021, at Slidell Memorial Hospital in Slidell.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories: his wife, Nora L. Augman of Bogalusa; stepsons, Darian Renter and Derrick Sanders, both of Bogalusa, the Rev. Dr. Keith Sanders of Zachary, and Jeremy Hall, Johnathon Hall and Kendrick Hall, all of Bogalusa; two daughters, Gretel Augman of Orlando, Fla., and Joyce Johnson of Alexandria; two brothers, Charles Bouer of Flint, Mich., and Reginald Augman of Morgan City; five sisters, Patricia Freel of Alexandria, Emma Jean Ciccotti of Monroe, Doreatha Henry of Alexandria, Renita Augman of New Orleans, and Betty Augman of Morgan City; two grandchildren, Tronderick Watson of Alexandria, and Thaddeus Augman of Houston, Texas; four step-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, William J. Augman Sr., and mother, Emily Perry Augman; two brothers and one sister.

A drive-through viewing will be held Thursday, Aug. 19, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa.

A funeral service will be Saturday, Aug. 21, at noon at Union Bethel A.M.E. Church, located at 2321 Thalia St. in New Orleans, with the Rev. Dr. Keith Sanders officiating. Interment will be in Ponemah Cemetery.
