On Monday, officials with the Our Lady of the Angels Hospital requested that citizens who need COVID-19 testing seek out alternate sites.

“With emergency departments and clinics at capacity, we ask that those needing COVID-19 testing utilize alternate community resources at this time so our teams can care for those who need them most,” a post stated on the hospital’s Facebook page.

The hospital also provided information about other testing sites in Washington Parish. All sites are by appointment only — no walk ins.

They include:

• Bogalusa Health Unit, 626 Carolina Ave., Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. Drive thru by appointment only. Call 985-732-6615 for more information.
