There will be multiple free community COVID-19 vaccination events throughout Washington Parish in early July.

The Louisiana Department of Health’s Office of Public Health, along with the Louisiana National Guard, will be hosting two COVID-19 “Back to School” community vaccination events on Saturday, July 10.

Both will be from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The locations are Franklinton High School gym, located at 1 Demon Circle, or the Pine High School gym, located at 28315 Louisiana Highway 424.

These events are by appointment or by walk-in. Residents can schedule a vaccination time by calling 985-543-4880. Scheduling can also be online by visiting the website: laredcap.oph.dhh.la.gov/surveys/?s=RCD74AWXHH.

Northshore Technical Community College’s campus in Bogalusa, located at 1710 Sullivan Drive, is also holding a vaccination drive on Monday, July 12, from 5 a.m. until 7 p.m. Social distancing will be enforced and masks will be required. CVS Pharmacy is assisting with this event.

These vaccinations will be free, and the event will have the Pfizer vaccine available to anyone 12 years of age or older. The second dose of vaccination will be administered on Aug. 2.

Appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance. The online link to register for this event is bit.ly/vaccinationscheduling.

Vaccinations are still also available at many area pharmacies. To find a location near you, visit online at www.vaccines.gov or call the LDH hotline at 1-855-453-0774.
