New exhibit at museum
The Varnado Store Museum is assembling a new exhibit to be displayed during July and August. The exhibit is called “Community Heroes Through the Years.” If you have photos, scrapbooks, documents, stories, clothing or other items about those individuals or groups who have given unselfishly to benefit our communities during hard and good times, please share them on loan to the museum for this special exhibit. We wish to honor soldiers, guardsmen, firemen, policemen, medical persons, charitable groups, disaster teams, teachers, etc., who have become our heroes in the past and the present. The museum will be open on the weekends (except for the Fourth of July weekend) and staff will be working in the museum on Wednesday, July 7, and Thursday, July 8. Bring any items you wish to display by the museum at one of those times.
