The Bogalusa Police Department will be participating in a Louisiana Highway Safety Commission “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” impaired driving campaign, starting Thursday, July 1, and continuing through Monday, July 5, according to BPD Assistant Police Chief Percy Knight.

Knight said that this would be done through DWI checkpoints, as well as extra officers on the streets who will be focusing on impaired drivers.
