Nevel Carson Jr., a native and resident of Bogalusa, departed his life June 7, 2021, at the age of 68.

Nevel Carson Jr. was born to the late Nevel Sr. and Mary Carson on Aug. 19, 1952. Nevel graduated from Bogalusa High School in 1972 and worked in the medical profession until his illness.

He leaves to cherish his memories: three loving sisters, Barbara Morgan, Marilyn Hicks and Marynell Carson; one devoted nephew, Kiley Kilbourne; four caring nieces, Keela (Eugene) Burdis, Keeda Hicks, Kyra Ball and Diamond Hicks; and three great-nephews, Cameron Burdis, Chayson Burdis and Karson Duncan.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Billy Harriel.
