Lois Williams Luper, 87, born in Angie, passed away on Thursday, May 13, 2021.
Lois was a devout Christian and faithful member of the First Missionary Baptist Church in Varnado, where she attended regularly until failing health prevented her from attending.
She is survived by daughters, Charlotte (Charles) Fasola and Valerie (Bruce) Driscoll; two sons, Willie (Ann) Harris and Richard (Barbara) Harris; daughter-in-law, Angie Luper; grandchildren, Chad (Karen) Harris, Brad (Lori) Harris, Chad (Nicole) Boyd, Ryan (Shyler) Harris, Drew (Allie) Harris, Jennifer (John) Waits, Leslie (D.J.) Purvis, Erica (Jake) Cameron, Jennifer (Eric) Webb, Mallery (Aaron) McNully, Kristy (Joel) McCarty and Khaled Waliagha; sister, Mayvon (Maurice) Cole; step-sister, Glenda (Daniel) Keaton; 25 great-grandchildren; special niece, Lynn (Dale) Kennedy, and numerous other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elda Ray Luper; parents, Willie and Bernadine Williams; step-mother, Bonnie Williams; sons, Dale Luper and Reed Luper; sister, Johnnie Lou Rester; brothers and sister-in-laws, Jewel and Jeanette Williams and Willie J. “Dick” and Georgine Williams; and brother in law, Glynn Seal.
A special appreciation is given to the employees of Resthaven Living Center, where she resided for the last three years, and Community Care Hospice.
Graveside services will be held at the H. H. Williams Cemetery on Sunday, May 16, at 2 p.m. with Mike Thomas officiating. Pallbearers will be Chad Harris, Brad Harris, Chad Boyd, Ryan Harris, Drew Harris and Herbie Williams.
