Mrs. Verlee W. Long was called home to glory at the age of 94 on Saturday, May 8, 2021, at her home in Franklinton.

She was born on Oct. 16, 1926, to the late Myrah and Rosa Wilson.

She will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends. She leaves to cherish her memories: two sons, Alvin (Barbara) Long of New Orleans, and Craig Long of Humble, Texas; and five daughters, Lenoria (Rodney) Davis, Doris (Melvin) Lowe, Evelyn Smith, Bama (Joe) Wilson of Spokane, Wash., and Beverly Magee.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kermit Long; her mother and father; and two sons, Lamar Long and Donald Long.

A drive through viewing will be Friday, May 14, from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Franklinton.

The funeral service will be on Saturday, May 15, at 11 a.m. at Bethel Church of Christ Holiness USA with Elder Alvin Partman, pastor, officiating. Interment will be at the Wilson Cemetery on Old Columbia Road.
