The staff and residents of Resthaven Living Center and Brookside Rehab has been showing their gratitude to our local first responders. Each week, one department has been treated to lunch consisting of assorted sandwiches, chips, cookies and a drink — all packaged nicely in a Resthaven lunch tote.

“Our first responders do so much for our community, providing lunch to them is just a small token of our appreciation,” said Sonia Fernandez, hospital liaison for Resthaven.

“This is our first week doing this and so far everyone seems to be enjoying it. Our Parent Company, Priority Management Services, spearheaded this effort not only here in Washington Parish but at our affiliate facilities throughout Louisiana and Texas and we are grateful that we are able to give back to our community,” said Clay Magee, administrator for Resthaven.

Northshore EMS received lunch on April 6 and April 7, the Bogalusa Police Department received lunch on April 13 and April 14, and the Bogalusa Fire Department received lunch from April 20-22.
