Acy Hartfield, 82, a resident of Bogalusa, born on April 8, 1939, in Bogalusa, passed away on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. He was an Educator for 30 years, and he did Heart Study for 20 years in Bogalusa, in Washington Parish.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Thomas Hartfield of Bogalusa; his son, Acy (Tara) Hartfield of Bogalusa; a sister, Janel Hartfield Stogner of Atlanta, Ga.; and four grandchildren, Austin, Anderson, Alex, and Ana Cate Hartfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louie C. Hartfield Sr. and Elsie Margarita Holden Hartfield; a sister, Gloria Hartfield Simmons; and a brother, Louie C. Hartfield Jr.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 16, at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Funeral services began at 2 p.m. at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Tommy Hudnall and the Rev. Duane Ball officiating. Interment followed at Ponemah Cemetery.
