On Sunday, Feb. 21, 2021, God sent his angels to welcome home his son, Jeffery, to his final resting place.

Jeffery Meekins was born Aug. 23, 1956, in Bogalusa, where he lived his life.

He is survived by his mother, Ms. Ruth Platter; three siblings, Lloyd Meekins, Brenda Gibbs and Paulette Coleman; a special niece, Sandra “Niki” Bradley; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Drive-thru visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 2, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa. Interment will be in the Bogalusa Cemetery.
