Wilma Joan “Joan” Kupfer, 86, of Poplarville, Miss., entered Eternal Life on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2021 in Asbury Hospice in Hattiesburg, Miss.

Joan was born June 24, 1934, in Florence, Ala. She was the retired owner of Ace Hardware along with her husband Louis in Bogalusa. She was a lifelong member of the Catholic faith; enjoyed playing tennis; played piano and organ; and was an avid decorative painter.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Jack A. Woodward and Irene Selman Woodward-Ory; her husband, Louis J. “Lou” Kupfer Jr.; and one son, Stephen Peter Kupfer.

Family members include five children, Lynn, Mike, Louise, Kathy (Whit) and Beth; two grandchildren, Devin and Taylor; and one brother, Michael Woodward (Sue).

Graveside services will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Cemetery (379 W. Seneca Road in Lumberton, Miss.) on Wednesday, Feb. 24, at 10 a.m.
