Ada Magee passed away on Jan. 24, 2021, at the Pearl River County Nursing Home in Poplarville, Miss.

She was born in Bogalusa on June 16, 1934, and was a lifelong resident of Bogalusa. She was also a member of Superior Avenue Baptist Church. She worked for the City of Bogalusa for many years where she retired. She loved her hometown. She loved spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Kim (Jason) Mathis; four grandchildren, Misty McNabb, Brooke (Eli) Rowell, Ashley (A.J.) Smith and Morgan (Cody) Spears; and 10 great-grandchildren, Cole, Carter and Carleebeth Rowell, Myles, EvaMurray and Bishop McNabb, Avery, Sutton and Scout Smith, and Dalton Spears.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip E. Magee; her son, Philip E. Magee II; her mother, Alice Sheridan; and her two brothers, Donald “D.B.” Sheridan and Alec Sheridan.

Visitation will be at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Wednesday, Jan. 27, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., with the funeral service at 1 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home, with the Rev. Clay Norwood officiating.
