Mary Lenora Burris Crain, 90, resident of Pine, passed away at her residence on Jan. 20, 2021. She was born in Washington Parish on March 14, 1930. Mary retired from the multiwall division of Crown Zellerbach and was co-owner of Pine Cash Grocery Store for a number of years. She loved flowers and could grow anything. Mary loved visiting and talking with friends and was a very loyal to all whom she considered to be a friend.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Tara (Larry Feazell) Crain and Brian Robins; great-grandchildren, Lacie (Jeremy) Jenkins, Lauren Richardson, Kenner, Robins, and Ava Robins; great-great-grandchildren, Karson and Linley Jenkins; her sisters-in-law, Sue and Jean Burris; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends, Betty, Nell, and Patsy; and her favorite pet, Juliet.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Lavell Crain; her sons, Dennis and Bruce Crain; her parents, Walter Addison and Electa Lenora Sylvest Burris; her brothers, Walter Burris, Kenneth Burris and Hampton Burris; and a sister-in-law, Versi Burris.

Services to celebrate Mary’s life will be held at Pine Baptist Church Cemetery on Saturday, Jan. 23, at 12:30 p.m. The Rev. David Easterling will officiate the service and interment will follow at the cemetery.
