It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Mother and Grandmother, Doris Phillips Miley, on Jan. 1, 2021, at Lakeview Regional Medical Center, at the age of 86. She was a longtime member of Poplarhead Missionary Baptist Church. She will be missed by all those at the Angie Auction, especially her homemade cakes, and those at the garage sales and flea markets she often attended, and of course her buddies at Sugar Shack in Franklinton.

She is survived by four children and spouses, Kenny Miley of Greenwell Springs, Veronica and Walter O’Berry of Bogalusa, Randall Miley of Pine, and Brenda and Kendall Parker of Franklinton; grandchildren and a spouse, Kevin Moore and Chris Miley, both of Bogalusa, Jody Miley of Franklinton, Ashley Parker Thomas and Justin Thomas of Franklinton, and Kimberly Miley of Greenwell Springs; great-grandchildren and a spouse, Sierra Miley, Alyssa Moore Busby and Jordan Busby, Kinzley Moore, Madison Thomas and Parker Thomas; brother and sister-in-law, Daniel and Wilda Phillips of Bogalusa; sisters-in-law, Lena Mae Temples of Picayune, Miss., and Betty Rose Phillips of Tylertown, Miss.; special niece and loafing buddy, Alice Miley; and also numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home on Saturday, Jan. 9, from noon until 2 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. Saturday with her pastor, Elder Edward Penton, officiating. Burial will follow in the Miley Cemetery on Seven Mile Road.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Kevin Moore, Chris Miley, Jody Miley and Justin Thomas, and special friends, Chad Luper and Damon Luper.

COVID-19 guidelines and restrictions will be followed by all who attend.
