Martha Rose Paige, 82, of Crossroads, Miss., passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Dec. 23, 2020. She loved her church and serving the Lord as a devoted member of Annunciation Catholic Church. Whether Marty was cooking or playing cards, she enjoyed every minute with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Marvin Paige; daughters, Denise (Bill) Langston and Debbie Schilling; two granddaughters, Laura (Bryant) Kintner of Bogalusa, and Hannah (Zach) Vorenkamp of Birmingham, Ala.; one grandson, Michael (Abbie) Schilling of Chalmette; great-grandchildren, Teddy, Ellie, Lucy, Archie and Harry Schilling; one sister-in-law, Shirley Strahan; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Adelaide Strahan; her brothers, J.H. “Buster” Strahan, William “Bill” H. Strahan, James E. Strahan, George E. Strahan and Joseph “Joe” F. Strahan; and her sisters, Dorothy “Dot” Ann Burge, Elizabeth “Betty” Ann Bass, and Miriam “Mimi” Allen.
Services to celebrate Marty’s life will be held on Monday, Dec. 28, at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home with visitation at 9 a.m. with a Rosary starting at 9:30 a.m. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. in the chapel. Deacon Ed Kelly and the Rev. Marcus Rosa will officiate, and interment will follow at Paige Cemetery in Crossroads.
