On Tuesday, Dec. 8, Northshore Technical Community College officially became a member of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) Commission on Colleges. This accomplishment will provide students with expanded access to transferable courses and expanded programs of study. The college offers certificates, technical diplomas and associate degrees in addition to a wide variety of noncredit workforce education programs.
A member institution of the Louisiana Community and Technical College System, Northshore Technical Community College was ranked top in the nation in 2015 by the Brooking’s Institute for the greatest economic value of its graduates.
“This recognition signals the colleges relevance to local and regional economies and focus on talent development essential to building pathways to prosperity for our graduates,” NTCC Chancellor Dr. William S. Wainwright said.
The college has also received recent distinction by the Chronicle of Higher Education for fastest growth.
While the impacts of the pandemic have been significant to higher education, Northshore Technical Community College continues to provide in-person, hybrid, and on-line learning essential to meeting the needs of all learners. Expanded scholarship opportunities in addition to financial aid availability and affordable tuition make NTCC a great choice for anyone taking the next step in personal and professional growth.
