Sharon Davis Hammett, 69, a resident of Franklinton, died Tuesday evening, Nov. 10, 2020, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. She was retired after a long career with the U.S. Postal Service in Baton Rouge. Sharon enjoyed working crossword puzzles and word searches. She always loved watching her favorite gospel music and church programs on TV. Sharon adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Psalms 91:11 — “For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all the ways.”
She is survived by a son, Steven D. Little and companion Sondra Dampier; a daughter and son-in-law, Charmin and Shannon Graham; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Faye and Robert Phelps, and Sylvia Brooks; four grandsons and a spouse, Tyler and Brittney Graham, Tanner Graham, Marek Little and Mason Little; a granddaughter and spouse, Megan and Trevor Cooper; great-grandchildren, Alivia Lee Graham and Damian Branch; and also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Marion Hammett; parents, Joe and Zena Davis; step-father, Johnny Davis; one sister and five brothers.
Visitation was at Crain Funeral Home (1109 Bene St. in Franklinton) on Thursday, Nov. 12, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m., and after 8 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 13. A funeral service was held in the funeral home chapel at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 13, with the Rev. Larry Lassley Sr. and the Rev. David Cutrer officiating. Burial followed in the Crossroads United Pentecostal Church Cemetery near Crossroads, Miss.
Pallbearers were Tyler Graham, Tanner Graham, Marek Little, Mason Little, Trevor Cooper and Robbie Phelps. Honorary pallbearers were Doug Brooks, Randy Seal and Greg Phelps.
