Rose Ann Long-Bush was born on April 23, 1963, to Margarite Richardson Long and the late Monroe Long. She departed her life on Sept. 11, 2020.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her mother, Margarite Richardson Long of Bogalusa; one brother, Alvin Richardson of Baton Rouge; one aunt, Matalee Richardson Cole of Hillside, Ill.; special cousins Dudley Hines Jr. of Baton Rouge, Georgia Hodges Lundy, Pamela Jones, Renecia Hodges, Sylvia Ann Richardson Scott, Nikki and Leatha Richardson, all of Bogalusa; her adopted family, The Peters, Kenneth Sr. and Jerrydean Peters, Richard Robinson, Kenitra, Kenneth, Cory, Cody, Fredric Peters, all of Bogalusa; a dear friend, Audrey Steen of Bogalusa; and a host of cousins, many friends, and neighbors that she enjoyed spending time with in the community.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace “Shelby” Bush; father, Monroe Long; step-father, Bennie “Chuck” James; grandmother, Morline Richardson; aunts, Mable Richardson, Rozena Wiggins and Althea R. “Billy” Pigott; and uncles, Clarence Richardson, David Richardson and Alvin Richardson.

A drive-thru viewing was held on Friday, Sept. 25, from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 26, at 2 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa with the Rev. Christopher Matthews, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Bogalusa Cemetery.
