Mrs. Christina Green Butler departed this life at the age of 96. She was born to the late Henry Green and Emma Peters Green on March 15, 1924, in Varnado. She departed this life on Monday, Aug. 17, 2020.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her grandson, Elton Butler Jr. of Bogalusa.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lionel Butler; her father, the Rev. Henry Gree; her mother, Emma Green; son, Elton Butler Sr.; brothers, Melvin Gree, the Rev. George Green, and Willie Green; and sisters, Alberta Green Galloway, Beatrice Green and Pecola Green.

Drive-thru viewing will be on Sunday, Aug. 23, at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa from 10 a.m. until noon, followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Calvin Jackson officiating.

Interment will be in the Robinson Cemetery in Varnado.
