Carl Junior Lewis Carter was born to the late Tilmer Lewis and Ruby Carter on July 11, 1953, in Tylertown Miss. He passed away at the age of 67 at the home of his daughter on Aug. 13, 2020, in Angie.
He was united in Holy matrimony to Lucille Carter of Bogalusa for 46 years. To this union, two children were born.
He was employed at Brent Jones Lumber Company.
He was a child of God. He loved to preach and teach.
He leaves to cherish his memories: a loving and devoted wife, Mrs. Lucille Carter; a loving daughter, Tora (the Rev. Wallace) Pittman of Angie; a son, Brentona (Nancy) McClenton of Bogalusa; five grandchildren, Cardale (Brenda) Carter, Cortez and Cardareus Carter, and Taishee Pittman-Mims and Antoine Pittman; two great-grandchildren, Taique and Tainiyah Mims; six brothers, Theodore, A.C., Arthur Dee, and J.C. Carter, and Al C. and Robert Jerry Lewis; seven sisters, Iva Lee Carter, Gloria Mae C. Pittman, Dixie Mae Mark, Annie Mae Thompson, Annie Pearl Pittman, Teresa Ann Fountain and Lisa Gail Pittman; a mother-in-law, R. Lee McClenton and two sisters-in-law, Gloria Jefferson and Effie Hatcher; his godchildren, Marilyn (Zach) Harry, Eddie Will Collins Jr., Kiesha (June) Crumedy, Stephanie (Deandre) Crumedy, Shauntay Sandifer, Keith Collins, and the McGowan children; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Aug. 22, at 11 a.m. at Cook-Richmond Funeral Home Chapel in Bogalusa. Elder Leslie Fields will officiate the service.
Cook-Richmond Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
