Organizers of the Bogalusa Blues & Heritage Festival announced Wednesday that the event will be canceled for 2020.

A post on the organizers’ Facebook page said the following:

“It has become clear that we must cancel the Bogalusa Blues & Heritage Festival 2020 that was scheduled for September 25th – 26th.

“In response to the on going COVID-19 health concerns with the obvious need for urgent steps to contain its spread, we simply can not move forward with the festival as scheduled.

“This has been a tough decision for all of the many volunteers and board members. The cancellation will impact our community along with artists, attendees, our board members, production teams and the Bogalusa community as well.

“Although we will not be seeing our festival goers in 2020, you can be sure we will be back in 2021!

“Please keep checking our facebook page, our website and instagram for some videos of some of our past acts as we continue to share our love for the music that bring us all together.

“The Best Cure for the Blues …. is the Blues”
