Patrons at the Bogalusa Branch Library won’t find just great books, they will also find great works of art. Recently, two local artists have chosen the library to display such fine works.
Local artist Cordero Mark loaned the library two of his oil paintings (see photo below) and Mr. Alford Bankston has donated a beautifully carved wood duck created by his father, Mr. Rodney Bankston. Mr. Alford previously donated a carving of a bird in upward flight titled “Up Through the Trees.”
Bankston is shown above with Emmett Guy Jr., assistant manager of the Bogalusa library, and Mr. Alford Bankston’s carving is standing between them.
The library invites artists of all ages to display their work at the library. For more information, call 985-735-1961.
