Belva Jean Blough, 74, of Cleveland, Tenn., passed away on July 1, 2020. She was born on June 27, 1946, to the late Joseph and Florence Penton. Belva was a Registered Nurse for many years. She enjoyed sewing, and was a tremendously hard worker. Above all things she was a loving mother who loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her mother and father, she is preceded in death by her brothers, William Grady “Dub” and H.T. “Tinker” Penton; and sisters, Margaret Johnson and Georgia Dixon.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory: her loving daughters, Vanessa Gill and husband Rick and their children, Thomas “T.J.” Ravens, Zach Gill, Brad Gill, Tiffany Gill, Eric Brown, Alex Brown and Lacie Gill; Viola Rester and her children, Selena Rester and Sabrina Rester Hughes; siblings, Maudie Blakeney (John) and Howard “Bowie” Penton; and great-grandchildren, Roper Ravens, Jesse Ravens and Ava Gill. In addition to these, she leaves behind two special friends, William Blough and Gary Owenby.

Belva will be laid to rest at Hillview Cemetery in Bogalusa. The family will have services prior to the burial at Brown McGehee Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Saturday, July 4. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, July 5, at Hillview Cemetery.
