Richard Earl Conerly was born Jan. 18, 1946, to the late Mr. James and Mrs. Estelle Conerly and he departed from his earthly house to his home in glory at the age of 74 at his residence in Bogalusa.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories: three sons, Unjel Harris of Cedar Hill, Texas, Richard Watterson of Houston, Texas, and Jewel Watterson of Bogalusa; one daughter, Richanda Watterson of Bogalusa; four sisters, Betty Adams, Ora (Curley) Murphy, and Joan (Charles) Hill of Bogalusa, and Constance Russell of Macon, Ga.; one brother, Robert (Hajarene) Conerly of Cameron, Texas; and a host of grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James (Estelle) Conerly; one brother, Demetrios Harris; and two sisters, Mary Conerly and Louvenia Hall.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 15, at the chapel of Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa at 11 a.m., with Elder R.L. Palmer officiating. Drive-thru viewing will be Sunday, June 14, from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m.

Interment will be in the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Slidell.
