Lindsay Margaret McElveen, 39, a resident of Slidell, passed away Thursday, June 4, 2020, at her home. She was born on Nov. 23, 1980, in Bogalusa and spent most of her life in Franklinton. Lindsay graduated from Bowling Green School, where she enjoyed playing tennis. She later obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Southeastern Louisiana University. Lindsay enjoyed reading, making unique jewelry that she wore and spending time with her family.

She is survived by: her son, Caleb Robert Sanford, his son Rielley Vernon Sanford, and parents Randy and Kim Sanford; mother, Laurie Bickham Burris of Franklinton; father and step-mother, Buddy and Kay McElveen of Abita Springs; brothers, Evan Andrew McElveen and his wife Allie of Slidell, Phillip Drake McElveen of Bogalusa, and Jordan Scott Burris of Franklinton; niece, Adelaide Marie Burris; nephew, Evan Ernest McElveen; aunts and uncles, Grant and Gail McElveen, Judith and Allan Cougle, Eve Nations, and Brent Bickham; and also numerous cousins and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Margaret “Moggie” Bickham, and other family members.

A graveside memorial service for her friends and family will be held in Ellis Cemetery at 11 a.m. Friday, June 12, with Bro. Grant McElveen officiating.
