Eddie Nell Bullen Merritt went to be with the Lord on June 7, 2020. She was born on Dec. 31, 1935, to Robert and Sara Jane Bullen. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 50 years, Hershel Merritt; and daughter, Kathy Williams Gomez Oubre.

She is survived by her children, Francis “Terry” Williams (Becky), Carolyn Williams Ingram (Chris), and Michael Merritt; grandchildren, Christy Ingram Andra, Ryan Scott Williams, Kelly Gomez Langley (Ernie), and Travis Williams (Lizette); and great-grandchildren, Jared Andra,, Morgan Andra, Kaleigh Langley, Kaycie Langley, and Kade Langley.

She was extremely proud of her family and their many accomplishments. When she wasn’t spending time with her loved ones, she enjoyed camping, and was a talented seamstress. Lucky ones knew what a great cook she was, and anxiously awaited her cakes and pies.

Services celebrating her life will be held in the chapel of Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home in Bogalusa on Wednesday, June 10, at 11 a.m. Visitation was held at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 9, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m., and will resume on Wednesday morning from 9 a.m. until the service time at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Tommy Pittman officiating. Interment will follow in Ponemah Cemetery in Bogalusa.
