Mrs. Keran Ellison Moses departed this life on May 29, 2020, at Lakeview Regional Medical Center in Mandeville. Mrs. Keran Moses graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in New Orleans. After graduation, she attended Southern University where she attained her Bachelors of Science in Mathematics in 1983. In 1996, she entered into the Bogalusa School System as a substitute teacher which later turned into a full-time teaching position. In 2006, she started as a case manager for Youth Build Bogalusa for Northshore Technical College. In 2009, she attained her Master’s Degree in Teaching and Learning with Technology from Ashford University.

In 1996, she married Alfred Moses Sr. and they had three children together, Alfred, Keran, and Kashanda. Mrs. Moses retired from Northshore Technical Community College in 2018. During her retirement, she loved to entertain her grandchildren, tutor, complete puzzles, and watch YouTube cooking channels.

She leaves to cherish her memories: three children, Alfred (Carrie) Moses, Keran M. Williams, and Kashanda Moses; her sisters, Germaine Ellison, Belinda Connerly (Kenneth), Delisa Dorsey; her brothers, Nolton Seaton, Dojuan Seaton, Eddie (Mona) Seaton; her grandchildren, Shavontae Sims, Alfred Moses III, AlMonte Moses; 14 god-children; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, four best friends, Shondra Causey, Linda K. Magee, Nancy Sohlumbret, and Dolars Gray; and her special nieces and nephews, Tasha Smith and Raymond Keys Jr.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Moses; parents, Thersa and Eddie Seaton; sister, Agatha Ellison; and brother, David Ellison.

A drive-thru viewing will be held on Friday, June 5, from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 6, at 1 p.m.
