Patricia Wall “Patsy” Taylor passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2020, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge, due to complications of Parkinson’s disease.

Patsy was born June 23, 1934, in Osyka, Miss., to Earl Brewer Wall Sr. and Natilee Prescott Wall. She married Benton Taylor on Dec. 24, 1955. They lived most of their married life in Bogalusa where they raised their family. Patsy worked for the Bogalusa School District as an elementary aide at Terrace, Byrd Avenue, and Superior Avenue schools. She was a faithful member of Westside Emmanuel Baptist Church for over 50 years, where she enjoyed singing in the choir and teaching Sunday School classes.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years; her children, Ron (Dawna) Taylor of Murphy Texas, Cheryl Lyons of Humble, Texas, Pam (Ted) Ball of Baton Rouge, and Greg (Suzy) Taylor of Madison, Miss. Her legacy continues through her 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Also surviving Patsy are her siblings, Earl (Gloria) Wall of Gulfport, Miss., Percy Wall of Mt Hermon, and Teresa (Jewell) Dixon of Pascagoula, Miss.; step-brother, David (Mary) Alford of Mt Hermon, and step-sister, Dianne Sturdivant of Madison.

She was predeceased by her parents; her step-mother, Betty Wall; her sister, Barbara Wall; and sister-in-law, Dianne Wall.

Due to COVID-19, a private graveside service will be held with Pastor Marcus Rosa of Westside Emmanuel Baptist Church officiating. Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home in Bogalusa is in charge of the arrangements. Condolences may be made online at www.pooleritchiefuneralhome.com.
