Mrs. Maudie Curney was born Sept. 20, 1955, in Picayune, Miss., to the proud parents of the late Louise Allen and Ike Allen Sr. She was a member of Tree of Life in Bogalusa.

Maudie Curney departed her life on May 2, 2020, at Our Lady of the Angels Hospital in Bogalusa.

She leaves to cherish her memories: five children, Richard Curney (Alison) of Boston, Mass., Kendrick Allen of Arlington, Texas, Robert Allen (Nicole) of Houston, Texas, Broderick Curney (Nicole) of Tampa, Fla., and Roderick Curney (Kumberly) of Angie; sister, Ida Henry, and brother, Ike Allen Jr. (Keshia), all of Bogalusa; 20 grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louise Allen and Ike Allen Sr.; her brother, Frederick Allen; son, Joseph Curney Jr.; and a special friend, Robert Booth.

Memorial Service will be held in the privacy of her home.
