BGS students offered ideas to fair committee

The robotics class from Bowling Green School recently attended a Washington Parish Fair Committee meeting in March, prior to the social distancing guidelines put in place for the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Robo-Bucs presented various proposals for resurfacing the playground area. The group compiled information on safety, durability, and cost as well as the practicality of potential surfaces for the area.
The fairground’s playground is a popular spot for local residents year round and efforts are underway to update the area and make it more user-friendly and safer.
The students’ presentation was for informational purposes only, however, they gave the committee chairmen and executive committee much to consider.
