Susann “Sue” Reese Myler passed away on April 5, 2020, at her residence in Baton Rouge, at the age of 69. She was born in Miami, Fla., on Oct. 28, 1950.
She is survived by her husband, James Myler of Baton Rouge; her daughters, Tara (Jeremy) Schenk of Kentwood and Alisha Renae Pounds of Baton Rouge; and her grandchildren, Kadyn, Kalette “Lettie” Schenk of Kentwood, Daeson Taylor and Cara Taylor of Alaska, Kai Sumpter, and Eli Sumpter of Baton Rouge; sisters, Virginia “Genny” (Roy) White of Walker, Joan Reese of Walker, and Katherine “Katy” (Glen) Wells of Denham Springs; sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law, Anita (Darryl) Jones of Bogalusa, Suzy Myler of Bogalusa and Paula Reese of Covington; and numerous friends and relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Lou Anna Reese; brother, John Reese; and sister, Nathalie “Cooky” Reese.
Sue was a long-time resident of Bogalusa and worked most of her life in the school system as a school bus driver and at Bogalusa Jr. High.
She was cremated at Church Funeral Services and Crematory in Baton Rouge. A memorial service will be held at Lee’s Creek Baptist Church at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital and the American Cancer Society.
