Pamela Doris Breland Moore passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2020, at her home while being cared for by loving family. Pamela was born in Bogalusa on April 27, 1944, to Emmett and Elsie Breland. She was a life-long resident of Bogalusa and a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Pam enjoyed many life-long friendships. She was a member of the Town and Country Homemakers ladies’ group for many years and will be sorely missed by her friends in the Superior Gang, who began their life-long friendships at Superior Avenue grammar school.

Pamela is survived by her children, Elesha Emmay Moore McCarty (Paul) of Hattiesburg, Miss., Richard “Kent” Moore (Shannon) of Bogalusa, and Lane Alston Moore of Bogalusa.

She was loved as Grams to grand-sons, Ethan McCarty (Sarah) of Hattiesburg, Logan McCarty of Memphis, Tenn., Liam McCarty of Hattiesburg, Justin Moore of Bogalusa, and Alston Moore of Bogalusa; as well as grand-daughters, Hannah Moore Green (Stephen) of Lubbock, Texas, and Savannah McCarty Knight (Matthew) of Biloxi, Miss.; and great-grandsons, Coulter Evans McCarty and Samuel Richard McCarty. She is also survived by her brother, Michael Breland, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Pamela will be dearly missed by her family and friends, both near and far.

Pamela was preceded in death by her husband, Richard “Ricky” Moore; her parents, Emmett and Elsie Breland; as well as siblings, Larry Breland and Pat Rogers.

A private, graveside service was held at Ponemah Cemetery on Saturday, April 4, for immediate family in lieu of visitation and service for extended family and friends due to these challenging times.
