Beginning Saturday, March 21, all visitors will be restricted from Our Lady of the Angels facilities except in very limited, extenuating circumstances, until further notice.

There will be three exceptions to the no-visitation policy:

• One support person for pediatric patients.

• One visitor for laboring mothers.

• Special circumstances as determined by the attending physician for end-of-life, special needs, or critically ill patients.

Visitors who are allowed in the facility based on the exceptions above will be required to go through a screening process including a temperature check and symptom questions.

Like all healthcare organizations, we are protecting our community and especially the medical teams who must be available to care for you throughout this pandemic. Washington Parish is strong and we appreciate your understanding and tireless support of all of us at Our Lady of the Angels. Please keep our patients, healthcare team and their loved ones in your thoughts and prayers.”

As alternatives to visiting, family members and friends are encouraged to use methods for staying connected to loved ones such as phone calls or video chats. Patients and families can work with their care team to arrange these methods.

Also beginning Saturday, all team members and physicians will undergo a required temperature check and answer screening questions prior to entering the facility.

Our Lady of the Angels continues to remind the community that we all play an important part in preventing the spread of COVID-19. We should all continue to practice social distancing, frequently wash our hands, cover coughs, and avoid touching our eyes, nose, and mouth.
