On Friday, the New Orleans Pelicans took on the Cleveland Cavaliers and it was a night to remember for some Central Elementary School students.
Several of the school’s 4-H Club members had the opportunity to attend the game and participate in the festivities.
This special night began with a Pre-Game Party, where students played games, took pictures with the team mascot, Pierre the Pelican, and created #WBD (Won’t Bow Down) signs to cheer on the Pelicans.
To commemorate the event, the students were given special 4-H Night T-shirts and took post-game photos with the Pelicans Dance Team.
The school’s staff extends a special thanks to the New Orleans Pelicans for hosting such an awesome event and to Central’s 4-H Club sponsors — Mary May, Keneisha Sumrall, Elizabeth Owens-Pack, Tanya Powell and Christian Turgeau — for organizing this great experience.
