The following release was issued by Bogalusa Assistant Police Chief Percy Knight on Tuesday:

The Bogalusa Police Department will be conducting a “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” Campaign this week by setting up a DWI checkpoint in the city limits of Bogalusa.

This is a coordinated effort with other law enforcement agencies to reduce drunk-driving fatalities during the Carnival season.
