Emma J. Warren Young was born on Sept. 21, 1949, to the late Delmas Warren and Ester Lee Bickham Warren. On Feb. 5, 2020, she was called home to eternal rest.

She received her education at Washington High School. At an early age she was baptized at New Jerusalem Baptist Church and later on she joined Out Reach Full Gospel Baptist Church. She worked at Heritage Manor Nursing Home for 15 years.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories: one daughter, Onycha (Tremale) Young of Franklinton; four sons, Kevin (Nicole) Magee of Jackson, Miss., Eric Young and Rechard (Markayla) Young of Franklinton, and Jabbar (Sharonda) Young of Virginia; 13 grandchildren, Aaliyah Young, Aria Young Walterius Young, Kerdae Young, Adrianna Young, Adrienne Young, Nia Young, Kason Young, Jabbar Young Jr., Erica Sims, Amber Young, Eric Young Jr. and Keria Magee; her mother, Ester Lee Warren; four sisters, Irma Ducure, Mamie Bonseigneur, Frances (Eli) Robinson and Christine Sally Warren; two brothers, Jerry (Pamela) Warren and Curtis (Genevia) Warren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by the late Johnny Young and the late Alfred Dawson.

Visitation will be Saturday, Feb. 15, at 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., followed by the Funeral Service at 3 p.m. at Greater Hayes Creek Church with the Rev. Antoine Graves officiating, and the Rev. Jerome Warren as pastor. Interment will be at Greater Hayes Creek Cemetery.
