Mr. James M. Atchley passed away January 18, 2020, at the age of 73, at St.

Tammany Parish Hospital.

James is survived by his wife, Virginia Atchley of Angie; two sons, Branden Moody Sr. of Angie, and Guy Atchley of Bogalusa; two daughters, Chanda Moody of Angie, and Mary Ellzey of Magee, Miss.; two brothers, Sammy Atchley of Taylorsville, Miss., and Bobby Atchley of Hot Coffee, Miss.; and two sisters, Pat Rhymes of Magee, and Joyce Ann Tanner of Taylorsville. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and other friends and family members.

James is preceded in death by three sons, James Atchley Jr., Joe Atchley and Paul Atchley; parents, Charlie and Eva Atchley; one brother, Charles Atchley Jr.; and one sister, Johnnie Ruth White.

Relatives and friends of the family attended Funeral Services on Tuesday, Jan. 21, at Brown McGehee Funeral Home in Bogalusa, at noon. Officiating was the Rev. Pete Underwood. Interment followed at Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Bogalusa.
