Ja’Quarius Decarlos Taylor, 17, was born on March 16, 2002. He departed this life on Jan. 12, 2020.

Ja’Quarius leaves to cherish his precious memories: his mother, Tawasha (Koury) Hargrove of Angie; father, Jeffrey (Latina) Taylor of Bogalusa; four sisters, Ja’Darinque Bonner and Ja’Dajah Taylor, both of Angie, Jaslyn Handy of Hackley, and Ja’Meisha Taylor of Bogalusa; four brothers, Jeffery Taylor of Angie, Jyrek Taylor of Bogalusa, and Ezekiel Handy and Jaren Handy, both of Hackley; grandparents, Arletha Spikes and Archie McGowan, both of Angie, and Annie Taylor Brown of Bogalusa; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Ja’Quarius is preceded in death by his grandparents, Leroy Walls and James Brown; and great-grandparents, Classie Spikes Morris and Minnie Taylor.

Visitation will be held Sunday, Jan. 19, from noon until 3 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home of Bogalusa.

The funeral service will be held Monday, Jan. 20, at 11:30 a.m. at Wesley Ray United Methodist Church, located at 30773 Wesley Ray Road in Angie, with the Rev. Terrance August, pastor, and the Rev. Archie McGowan, officiating. Interment will follow at Sunlight Cemetery in Sandy Hook, Miss.
