Mrs. Neomia Mildred Smith, 84, a resident of Bogalusa, departed this life on Jan. 5, 2020. She was born on April 20, 1935, to the late Edward Lee and Corine Bullock.

Mother Smith leaves to cherish her memories to her loving and devoted children, Evangelist Cassandra M. Flowers and Debra R Patrick; grandchildren, Lester Polk, LaTasha Cahagya, Markaya Spikes, Samuel Flowers, Donald Patrick Jr. and Debrina Patrick; brother, Elmer “Day” (Maria) Jacobs; sisters, Verna Williams and Katherine Ellis; 11 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Smith; brothers, J.D. Lee and Alton Lee; sisters, Edrine Brown, Ruby Washington, Modean Brown and Fayetta Henry; daughter, Cythnia Tucker Olsen; son, Michael Smith; son-in-law, Donald Patrick, Sr.; and grandson, Ezra Flowers. Following her death, daughter, Claudette D. Smith.

The memorial service will be held Friday, Jan. 17, at First Church of God in Church, located at 612 E. 5th St. in Bogalusa. Bishop Howard E. Quillen Jr. will be pastor officiating.
