The Franklinton Police Department had a little bit of fun Saturday, after LSU football’s national semifinal win in which two graduates of Washington Parish schools played key roles.

On the FPD’s Facebook page, a “release” was posted about Franklinton High School graduate Adrian Magee and Pine High School graduate Derrick Dillon. Magee is an offensive lineman for the No. 1-ranked Tigers, and Dillon is a wide receiver.

The release was as follows:

“On Saturday, December 28, 2019, at approximately 6:55 p.m., the Franklinton Police Department was contacted to assist in a multiple homicide investigation by the Georgia Bureau of Investigations.

“According to reports, two known Washington Parish residents were allegedly involved in a complete and malicious extermination of the entire 4th ranked Oklahoma Football Team.

“The two named suspects in the alleged crime were identified as none other than Franklinton High School alumnus #73 Adrian Magee and Pine High School standout # 19 Derrick Dillon.

“A combined investigation further discovered that members of the LSU Football Team are also considered principles to the crime.

“We ask that residents be on the lookout for the two named individuals. Should you come into contact with them, approach with extreme elation and give them the congratulatory praise they so rightfully deserve.

“Your community is proud of you young men. Continue working hard and bring home the National Championship!”

LSU will face No. 3 Clemson for the national championship on Monday, Jan. 13, at 7 p.m., at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans. The game will be broadcast on ESPN.
