Laura Ann Young passed away on Friday, Dec. 20, 2019, at the age of 57.

She is survived by her husband, Roland Eric Young; her children, Christina R. Newman, Jessica Grice (Jason), Jennifer Evans, Shelly Young Polk (Robert) and Kevin Young; her siblings, Previn Mankodi (Amy) and Premila Whitney (Paul); and also survived by eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Stephen Newman; and her parents, Surendra Mankodi and Sheila Brenie.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service on Monday, Dec. 30, at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home, located at 216 Alabama Ave. in Bogalusa. The visitation will begin at noon and continue until the service time at 3 p.m. in the Chapel. Burial will be private at a later date.
