Mr. Jesse Lee Baggett was born Jan. 15, 1941 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Mellie (Willie Mae) Baggett and he departed from his earthly house to his home in glory at the age of 71 on Sunday, Dec. 8, 2019, at Ochsner Hospital in New Orleans.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories: two brothers, Melvin (Regina) Baggett and Willie Lee Baggett of Bogalusa; three sisters, Rita Baggett of Iowa, Jonell Baggett of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Pauline White of Odessa, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mellie (Willie Mae) Baggett; and his wife, June Houston Baggett.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Dec. 13, from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 14, at 1 p.m. at Brown’s Temple AOH Church of God, located at 1101 S. Royal St. in Bogalusa, with Bishop Johnathan Tate officiating. Interment will be in The Bogalusa Cemetery.
