David Ernest McClendon, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2019, in Fort Walton Beach, Fla. at the age of 50. He was a native of Bogalusa, La and life-long resident of Bogalusa, La.
David was survived by: one son, David “D.J.” Ernest McClendon, Jr. of Bogalusa, La; one daughter Mariah King of Hammond, La; his father and step-mother Ernest and Eleanor McClendon of Lumberton, Miss.; two brothers, Billy (Tia) Holtzclaw of Tampa, Fla. and Kyle McClendon of Houston, Texas; five sisters, Betty (Robbie) Baggett of Sumrall, Miss., Wendy Powell of Bogalusa, La., Lori Holtzclaw of Lacombe, La., Julia “JuJu” Knight of Angie, La., and Ryan (Stephen) Kaiser of Fort Meade, Md.; two aunts, Polly McClendon and Katherine Miller, both of Bogalusa, La. David was also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.
David is preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Linda and Bill Holtzclaw.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend visitation on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2019 at Brown McGehee Funeral Home, Bogalusa, La, beginning at 4:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. Visitation will resume on Monday, Nov. 25, 2019, at Brown McGehee Funeral Home, Bogalusa, La., at 9 a.m. until Funeral Services begin at 1 p.m. Officiating will be Brother Bill Wright. Interment immediately following at Rester Cemetery, Varnado, La.
