Ricky Anthony Simmons, 55, passed away on Monday, Nov. 11, 2019, in Covington. He was a native and lifelong resident of Bogalusa.

Simmons was the beloved husband of 17 years to Amy N. Keating Simmons; loving father of Christal and Jeremy Carter, Morgan and Cody Brown, Catie Keating, Kali Simmons, and Jamesie (Darryl) Stewart; devoted grandfather to Chase Carter; loving brother of Willie Ray Simmons, Dee Dee (Elmer) Creel, Shellie Simmons, Sha (Tony) Hand, Shann (Jennifer) Fayard; loving son-in-law of Catherine Keating; and brother-in-law to Chris (Melissa) Keating and Josh (Robin) Keating. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Mavis Simmons; one brother, and sister-in-law, Dan and Rusty Simmons; one sister, Shana Patterson and his father-in-law, Robert Ray Keating.

Private services will be held at a later date. The memorial will be Saturday, Nov. 23, at 1 p.m. at Sheridan Jesus Name Holiness Church.
