She was the mother of David H. Savell of Port Arthur, Texas, John P. Savell and his wife Jennie Kay of Vidor, Texas, and Dennis Mitchell and his wife Donna N. of Bogalusa; brother of George E. Thornton and his wife Ginger of Janesille, Wis., Michael V. Thornton and his wife Georgeana of San Antonio, Texas, and Frances Blumer and her husband Jim of Florence, Wis.; grandmother of Shannon Savell, Jonathon Savell, Christopher Savell, Dorothy Savell, Christina Savell, Randi Mitchell, Scott Mitchell, Allyson Mitchell and Alayna Mitchell; great-grandmother of Lillan Savell, Zaden Savell and Jojo Savell; and aunt of Patricia Garcia, Shannon Wyandt, Richard Blumer, Wendy Sherrer, Jennifer Thornton and Michael Thornton.

A private service was held on Tuesday, Nov. 19.
