Funeral services for Hensley Ray Lee, 70, of Henleyfield Community, Miss., who passed away at his home, Saturday, Nov. 2, 2019, will be held Wednesday, Nov. 6, at 2 p.m. at Ben’s Ford Baptist Church, 58521 Highway 439 in Bogalusa.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Nov. 5, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Ben’s Ford Baptist Church; and also Wednesday, Nov. 6, from 10 a.m. until service time at 2 p.m. at Ben’s Ford Baptist Church.

Burial will be in Henleyfield Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

Bro. Lynn Martin will officiate the service, assisted by Bro. Caleb Martin and Bro. Jimmy Byrd.

Hensley was a native of the Henleyfield Community. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Hensley was a Self Employed Contractor-Hensley R. Lee Contracting. He was a Contractor under FEMA, setting up temporary housing for disaster relief, and assisting and helping others at his own expense. Hensley was a very active member of Ben’s Ford Baptist Church, assisting in constructing buildings, and serving as a Board Member for Ben’s Ford Christian School. He was active in his Sunday School, and became a born-again Christian 17 years ago. Hensley loved sharing his faith in Jesus Christ to everyone that would listen to him. He was a very personable, loving and giving child of God, who helped Missionaries, Mission Projects, and Pastors in every area that God allowed him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis B. Lee Sr. and Cecil McDaniel Lee; his sisters, Vertrees “Vert” Breland, Marilyn “Mellie” Perry, and Emelda Burge Hammond; and his brother, Otis B. Lee Jr.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving and devoted wife, Nelline Wise Lee; his children, Dana Lee, Joshua Lee, John “J.J.” (Jessica) Lee, Ashlea (Jason) McKenzie, Jennifer (Derek) Magness, Jessica (Chris) Piediscalzo, Marshall (Gwen) Smith, Kyle Jones, and his daughter-in-law, Monique Lee; 15 grandchildren, Cody (Brianna) Lee, Justin Lee, Shae Lee, Brooklyn Lee, Landon Lee, Bentley Ray Lee, Rowen Lee, Neil (Jalayna) Smith, Chloe Smith, Nate McKenzie, Silas Lee McKenzie, Hailey Magness, Jordan Magness, Taylor Piediscalzo, and Chris Piediscalzo; and numerous nieces and nephews.
