Reginald Bernard “Peter” Anders was born Sept. 4, 1962, to the late Willean Quinn Anders and Mizell Butler and he departed from his earthly house to his home in glory at the age of 57 on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2019 at North Oak Hospital in Hammond.

He leaves to mourn his passing: one daughter, Regeine Anders of Baton Rouge; four daughters in love, Tiereny and Tiara Mitchell of Baton Rouge, and LaToya and LaTonya Hutchinson of Bogalusa; three brothers, Charles Anders and Clifton (Debra) Anders of New Orleans, and Adrian Butler of Bogalusa; four sisters, Delores Quinn of Shreveport, Connie “Denise” (Michael) Martin Sr. of Bogalusa, Shelia Anders of Bogalusa and Diana Anders of New Orleans; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Willean Quinn Anders; father, Mizell Butler; step-mother, Rose Mary Butler; a daughter, Mona Lisa Varnado; two brothers, Michael Butler and Donald Robinson; and two sisters, Jeanette and Linda Butler.

Visitation will be held Friday, Nov. 1, at the chapel of Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday, Nov. 2, at First Church of God in Christ in Bogalusa from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m., with Bishop Howard Quillens, pastor, officiating.
