Leola Lezette Williams Crosby, 75, left this life on Oct. 21, 2019, following a battle with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. She was born at home on Aug. 21, 1944 in Varnado. Lezette loved her God, her family and friends. She loved to go to church and work in her yard.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Barney Crosby; two daughters, Melody Hale and husband Robert Hale, Rebekah “Becky” Crosby and one son, Bronwynn Crosby and wife, Dana; five grandchildren, Bethany Hale (fiancé Dillan Hitt), Witt Markham, Noah Markham, Maddie Short and Garrett Short; two great-grandchildren, Ripley Eleanor Hitt and Scout Leola Hitt, born Sunday, Oct 20.
She was preceded in death by daughter, Shan Crosby; her daddy and mother, Alton and Edith Williams; brothers, Alvin and Purvis Williams; and her father and mother-in-law, Lonnie and Myrtis Crosby.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral Service at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. in Covington, on Wednesday, Oct. 23, at 2 p.m., with visitation from 11 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow the service at Bethel Fellowship Church Cemetery in Angie.
