Cresta Nell “Net” Wheat Morrison was born Dec. 15, 1934, and gained her wings on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2019.

She is survived by two grandchildren, Dorian Morrison and Rhiannon Morrison of Baton Rouge; and two sisters, Sally Wheat Robertson and Peggy Wheat Herring (Bruce).

She is also survived by a very special great-niece, Brittany Varnado Adams (Scott), who took care of her during her last eight months of life; and by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clovis Morrison; her son, Mark Wayne Morrison; her parents, Curtis and Alma Wheat; as well as three brothers, Reverends Glynn Wheat (Minnie), Ned Wheat and Jerry Wheat; and one sister, Sarah Stafford.

Cresta was a longtime resident of Baton Rouge until moving back to Bogalusa in January.

We also would like to give special thanks to the staff at New Country Living for caring for Ninnie as if she were family.
